Introducing the Gilmoora House Book Nook: Take a Book, Leave a Book, Share the Joy of Reading

At Gilmoora House, we’re always looking for new ways to build a sense of community – and what better way to connect than through the love of books?

We’re excited to share that we’ve recently opened our very own Book Nook on the fifth floor – a cosy corner filled with shelves, bookcases, and a growing collection of free books for our tenants to enjoy. Whether you’re after an inspiring novel, a light-hearted read during your coffee break, or a new story to take home, there’s something for everyone.

The idea is simple: take a book, read a book, and if you can, leave a book in return. It’s a relaxed system – no sign-ups, no deadlines. You’re welcome to borrow a book and bring it back later, or even keep it if you love it. And if you have a spare book or two lying around that you think someone else might enjoy, we’d love for you to donate it to our shelf.

Our collection includes books of all kinds – mostly fiction, but also titles in different languages and genres, so there’s a chance for everyone to find something that resonates.

And this is just the beginning! We’re planning to expand the Book Nook into our business lounge on the ground floor, creating even more space for people to relax, browse, and unwind with a good read.

So next time you’re on the fifth floor or in the breakout area, take a moment to browse the shelf – you might just discover your next favourite book. And if you have one to share, even better. Together, let’s grow a mini library where stories are passed on and shared, one book at a time.
